Drones and the UK Laws

We use high tech drones (UAV's or “unmanned Aerial Vehicles) with up to 4K RAW/1080p high definition cameras. These shoot with varying frame rates and are able to fly these anywhere in the UK whilst abiding by the following restrictions set out by the CAA.

The reason we use UAV’s (drone’s) and not a full scale helicopter or plane is simply the cost. The more we can save on the outlay, the more you save on our services. The footage remains the same high quality either way. In fact, the footage from a UAV can be way more dramatic and exciting! I am able to manoeuvre it into so many more different and unique perspectives.

Obviously filming aerial video takes a certain amount of skill, training and experience. Prior to any commercial contracts being undertaken, a full scale safety brief and flight check is necessary in order to abide by the CAA regulations covering things such as:

We work all of the south coast of England…Weymouth and Dorset (and beyond) including Exeter, Devon, Salisbury, Bristol, Bath, Poole, Bournemouth, Southampton, Brighton, Kent and pretty much the whole of the UK.

Aerial Video Dorset Prices

Prices for work vary depending on the location and UAV used and start from £250 for two hours (including local travel). All prices below include the completion of all relevant paperwork such as pre-site and on-site surveys, risk assessments, aviation traffic checks and so on. They also include all images and video clips with rights to edit, publish and use anywhere.

The majority of the work we do requires just one operator. In order to keep costs down, a member of your staff can act as "spotter". This is simply to look out for low flying aircraft, birds or general public that tend to flock towards the drone at times. We use two pilots for more complicated work where one pilot will fly and the other will operate the camera. We can also have two pilots flying at the same time if required.
