You most certainly need good images. Most people make their first decision based on the images given for any product they are looking to buy. Being a photographer, I am certainly one of those people.
I recently bought a new guitar and the first thing I did was to shoot some high resolution commercial stock images. I sell stock photography online and the photos need to be immaculate. Therefore I spend a lot of time setting up the lighting as well as meticulously editing the images in Photoshop.

It is also nice when client's send me their photos in the finished article as in the case below. These medical drill bits were shot for the company's website and catalogue. They needed all the shots to have a pure white background.
