Purbeck Shooting School 50th Anniversary Shooting Competition

Come to Lulworth Castle and Join the Shoot!

June 2017 sees the FITASC 50th Anniversary shooting competition being held at the prestigious Lulworth Estate in Dorset. This promises to be a huge event with hundreds of competitors so I was asked to put a promotional video together for the Purbeck Shooting School who are helping to organise the event along with FITASC.

The Brief

I needed to show the extensive grounds around Lulworth Castle where the competition will be held. The extended plan was to show off what Dorset has to offer for the shooters coming to the Jurassic Coast. Those looking for a longer stay would need something to do when not shooting right?

I spent time in and around the Purbeck Shooting School filming shoots at various locations. I must say this place is very well thought out and caters for all levels of experience. Note: bring ear plugs next time.

I like to be creative for my promotional videos and always have an idea or two up my sleeve. On this occasion is meant strapping a small 4K camera to one of the shotguns during a shoot.

To finish off the video, we had to incorporate some existing stock footage of Dorset that I had in my files. We also had to visit a studio in Lulworth Cove to lay down some quality soundbites to overlay.

All in all I had a lot of fun getting involved with the team. I must say, I am tempted to get involved with shooting myself at some point in the future!
