I am a professional, award-winning wedding photographer in Dorset based in Weymouth but cover most of the south. With over 30 years experience in the industry, I have photographed weddings in the UK, Spain and Italy in a wide variety of locations.

Having shot weddings in beautiful, traditional churches in the UK, the Park Lane Hotel in London, the Ritz Carlton in Marbella, a monastery, on board a catamaran and even a dark cave in the mountains of Mijas, I've experienced enough to deal with just about any situation and loved every minute.

High Resolution, High Quality Wedding Photography

Most couples don't really care about what kit a photographer uses and with good reason. After all, a professional should have kit he can rely on and use effectively. I can safely say I know my gear inside out from the cameras to lighting and any little gadgets that I might use on the day.

In my experience, the wedding couple are normally so busy on the day, it is impossible to be everywhere all of the time. That is where I come in.

Once I know I have the main shots done at any part of your wedding day, I will spend the rest of the time milling about with your guests. I will watch your families, friends and guests chatting, playing, dancing...whatever. I will wait for the right moment and capture them at their best and most "animated". That way I can guarantee a wedding album that truly tells the story of what will ultimately be one of the best days of your life.

Drone (UAV) Aerial Wedding Photography (Optional)

In 2015, I qualified as a fully qualified and insured drone pilot. This means I can legally undertake commercial work with the drone. As part of any of my packages and pricing, and weather/safety permitting, I will fly the drone. Having high resolution images from the air can really enhance your wedding photos and add the Wow factor to your album. If you catch me in a good mood, I may even throw in some aerial images for free so get in touch asap, I feel pretty good right now!

If the weather is suitable, I will fly the drone to get some stunning aerial images throughout the day whenever there is time. I would even say it is worth making time for this. Not only will the images look superb but it is always fun for the guests to see a drone in action close up.

My Experience

I shot my first wedding in the 1980's as an apprentice to a local photographer in Kent. Since then I have photographed many weddings in some incredible locations with some amazing people. I have even been lucky enough to meet and photograph royalty and celebrities from the TV and music industries.

Weddings are a special time and I always feel privileged to be invited to record this great day. I work quietly, efficiently and, other than during group shots or special portraits, you will hardly know I am there.

As well as photographing weddings, I have been into general photography since the age of 13 and love all forms of imaging. I have been lucky enough to shoot weddings in some very cool places.

I take great pride in my work and will capture every moment throughout the day including all those moments with your guests that you won’t necessarily see. I am also meticulous when it comes to processing your wedding images and will be sure to remove any unsightly litter, telephone lines, cigarette butts, cracks in walls and so on.

Sample Photobook

There is a huge range of albums and photobooks available ranging from £150 through to £1000+. When we meet, we can discuss your budget and the type of book or album that will compliment your wedding perfectly. Below is a sample book from the higher end to illustrate the quality of a book with "lay flat" pages.

However, I also offer a digital package whereby you receive all images in colour and black and white on a USB memory stick. That way, you can use your own creativity and produce your own wedding book or album if you wish.
