CAA qualified, licensed and insured drone pilot shooting aerial video in Dorset and the UK. Up to 4K video with high resolution photography from the air for your business portfolio or promotion.
As part of my ongoing commitment to providing a unique, professional and efficient service in Weymouth, Dorset, Southern England and the rest of the UK, I am now offering full 4K aerial video services in the UK. This required a large amount of time and official hoops that needed to be jumped through including attending and completing the courses and exams set by the CAA.
I am fully qualified as a BNUC-s pilot and fully insured (including £5 million public and property indemnity) with all the relevant licenses in place from the Civil Aviation Authority to shoot commercially.
I have a professional, dedicated and highly skilled team at hand to deal with just about anything you need for your business. We shoot:
We can integrate your aerial footage and videography into longer commercial or event videos on the day. Please check out some sample footage below and bear us in mind for any projects you may have coming up in the future.

We use high tech flying equipment (UAV or “unmanned Aerial Vehicles) with first person view and 4K/1080p high definition cameras with varying frame rates and are able to fly these anywhere in the UK whilst abiding by the following restrictions set out by the CAA.
The reason we use UAV’s (drone’s) and not a full scale helicopter or plane is simply the cost. The more I can save on the outlay, the more you save on our services and the footage remains the same high quality either way.
In fact, the footage from a UAV can be way more dramatic and exciting as I am able to manoeuvre it into so many more different and unique perspectives.
We are now able to offer a wide range of aerial video services throughout the UK including:
Filming is available in the following resolutions:
You can rest assured that this is a safe, reliable and totally amazing experience for your business’s exposure and credibility. Certain safeguards are in place to give you peace of mind:
Just think about all the ways in which you can boost your company’s marketing with this unique and distinguishing perspective!
Obviously filming aerial video takes a certain amount of skill, training and experience. Because quad, hexa and Octacopters are fairly new to the scene of aerial videography, experience and “flight time” is limited for everyone, worldwide.
Prior to any commercial contracts being undertaken, a full scale safety brief and flight check is necessary in order to abide by the CAA regulations covering things such as:
Plus a log of each flight will also be documented which will include all of the above.
We work all of the south coast of England…Weymouth and Dorset (and beyond) including Exeter, Devon, Salisbury, Bristol, Bath, Poole, Bournemouth, Southampton, Brighton, Kent and pretty much the whole of the UK.
We are happy to travel anywhere in the UK or Europe but are based around and closest to Dorset, Devon, Hampshire, Somerset, Sussex, Kent and London.
Prices for work vary depending on the location and UAV used and start from £250. All prices include completing all the relevant paperwork such as pre-site and on-site surveys, risk assessments, aviation traffic checks and so on. They also include all images and video clips with rights to edit, publish and use.
Please note: If you use a NON-licensed, NON-qualified pilot for commercial work and something goes wrong (and the blades of a UAV can do serious bodily harm), both you and the pilot could be liable for damages so please ensure that you do your homework.
We use two pilots for more complicated work where one pilot will fly and the other will operate the camera. We can also have two pilots flying at the same time if required.
DJI Inspire 1 Pro UAV – with X5 M43 (Micro 4/3rds) camera at 4K/1080p, higher dynamic range, higher quality video and 16mp still images but with slightly less flying time (includes basic edits for output):
Travel charged at 45ppm
Note: Using two pilots allows for one to fly the UAV and the other to operate the camera for more complicated maneuverings.
If your requirements don’t fit into any of the above or if you have a job that requires multiple days, please get in touch to discuss.
I am a safety conscious person when it comes to my work and other people, especially when using certain equipment that may pose a threat. In the past, I trained as a skydiver and was meticulous in my approach. So much so that I qualified in the minimum time possible in the fewest jumps and became a member of the FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale).
The qualifying jump from 10,000 feet, which was monitored from the ground, involved a series of manouevres during freefall including 180 and 360 degree turns, back-loops, tracking and direction. I also passed what is known as IC-1 training which is canopy control. For this I had to jump from 2,000 feet and control my parachute in order to land in a 5 metre pit which I completed a number of times.
So I would say I was well aware of the same safety conditions needed to fly a UAV in so much as assessing wind drift, weather conditions, control, safety and so on.
